CARLY GREEN

Carly was born in Beaverton, Oregon along with her identical twin sister, so it is safe to say her love of competition and friendly rivalry began quite early in life. Growing up, Carly played every sport under the sun until she fell in love with volleyball, cross country, track, and rodeo- all of which she experienced lots of success throughout high school with state qualifications and championships.

However, rodeo has been the sport through which Carly has had most of her success. Carly earned a state title in high school rodeo her senior year tying goats and a reserve champion in the breakaway that year as well. The two years she qualified for nationals in the goat tying, she finished in the top 12 both times. More recently, Carly’s success in rodeo has granted her full ride scholarships for her Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Wellness Management from McNeese State University as well as her Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Wyoming.
Carly has also had experience in the professional world of rodeo with a double qualification for the American Semi Finals in the breakaway roping in 2019 and lots of money won in the Northwest Pro Rodeo Association in previous years.
While at the University of Wyoming, Carly spent her time teaching several kinesiology courses as a graduate assistant while also spending time coaching rodeo athletes to help introduce them to the world of sports specific training. Her goal was to not only improve their skills in their respective rodeo events, but also help prevent injury at the same time. Carly’s love of exercise physiology led her to lots of outside experience linking exercise induced physiological adaptations to many other research studies on campus. One of these studies included heat acclimation exercise to help wild land firefighters combat heat exhaustion and heat stroke during their line of work.

Additionally, Carly has earned several certifications outside of her academic career to help further her expertise in fitness. Upon finishing a brief internship with APEC, Carly now works full time to help direct our Adult Fitness alongside Sam Broadbent who is the Spherical programmer and leader. This group has become one of the leading competitors for the best adult fitness program available.
